So I was just ho-humming along in my grammar book today, doin' the daily grind, as I came across this slightly proverb-ic sample sentence:
The way to solve many problems is in a simple conversation.
How true is that! We make things so much harder than they need to be by not just talking it out! All this fooey about "the silent treatment" and holding your tongue just a) prolongs this uncomfortable energy between you and the other parties involved and b) is just like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. The only person you are hurting by not sitting down and having a simple conversation about the elephant in the room- the only person you are hurting is you.
Seriously, just talk it out. A load will be taken off of you by doing so and being alleviated of this load, will free up all this energy that you can put towards other things that promote you being productive!
So life lesson within a grammar lesson! All in a day's work here on Daily Dose!
Keep Moving Forward,
IotaDaily
P.S. So how do you think the infinitive phrase is used in that sentense? ...Just humor me- scroll down to the polls section under the subscribe area (hint, hint) and click on what you think. Thanks guys! :)
